June: It is Mother's Day today and so many thoughts and feelings passed through me. First and foremost I thought of my own children, one is in Israel, and one is very busy and out of the house in CT. I felt how much I loved and missed them.I always congratulate myself on Mother's Day because I remember the years of raising my kids. Next I thought that I would honor the Mother, the planet, and paid homage in Lake Wintergreen with my two little doggies. Next I thought about my mother, and how every mother has a mother. It is a chain of creation.

Towards the end of the day, I planted alot of seeds, again working with Mother Earth, and acknowledging the abundance she is. I thought that we too sow seeds with our thoughts, and feelings and our lives are our seedlings, flowers and trees. All of our growth is together at the same time with Nature's, we truly are one.

I watched the opera Madame Butterfly, and watched with grief how she was asked to give up her son at the end. I totally identified with the mother instinct she showed. Love is the strongest force, and motherly love is an instinct, and very powerful. We are charged by Creation in our design to potect our young ones.

Happy Mother's Day to all, and all of the mothers out there, thank you for all of your mothering!
