June: Hi. I just ventured out of my comfort zone.
* Good for you.
June: I was so involved that I didn't notice that my dogs ate my Dansko clog!
* This is good too, for it will always remind you of your courage, and willingness to grow.
June: Yes, it will be like a medal.
* Medals are perfectly made, a chewed up shoe is more like a scar, showing you your healing process.
June: Right.
* So what would you like from us tonight?
June: I get to choose?
* Yes, you do.
June: Can you speak about food cravings?
* In what context?
June: How can you eat only what you need and not -
* Do not deprive yourself of joy from food. Do not punish yourself through overeating. Anything can turn into punishment if you use it to abuse your body. Overeating abuses your body, eating
well is pleasurable. Do you see the difference?
June: Of course. But what about food cravings?
* Ask yourself if you are craving the food, or the feeling it gives you.
June: The feeling.
* Well, then you can imagine the feeling without eating.
June: No, it is chemical...
* No, it isn't. Besides, thoughts and emotions are chemical also, you know that.
June: Yes, I really feel it lately. I can feel my body's reaction to thoughts and feelings.
* Very important.
June: So nurture yourself in nurturing ways, and not abusive ways.
* Yes, even though people do not think they are abusing themselves when they are in the process of satisfying a food craving. Only afterwards do they realize it, when they do not feel good. In time, you will learn to avoid actions that you have already learned that they make you feel less than excellent. Expect to feel excellent, and nothing else will come between you and that feeling.
