Daily Channeling for Oct 27, 2009

June: What would you like to deliver today to the readers and me?

* We want to talk about the misconceptions about aging in your society. There will be three channelings about it- one, to clear people's minds of their patterned, automatic recordings about aging, that they were brought up on, from a very young age, two- how to live a youthful, energized life at all stages of life, and three how to prepare for natural body changes and how to think about them.

June: Wow, great.

* Okay, we thought you would like this subject. Misconceptions about aging in your society: When we say your society, we mean America in particular, but it can be any society that has stopped living in tribal form. Aging is a privilege, for it means that you are living a long life. Aging is not a disease, nor does it mean that you automatically become weaker. People become weaker at an older age, not because of muscle atrophy only, but because their lifestyles change, and they do less physical exercise. People who stay active do not necessarily experience a weakening of their muscles or their energy levels. You see, there is a natural aging process of the human body, but then there is also how you lived in your body for all those years; from how you took care of it, to how you processed life and your emotions. The deal was to have people healthy until the end of their lives, humans create their own illnesses.

June: Yes, I see all of this. So you are saying that aging is aging but what happens to people as they get older is their responsibility and a direct result of how they lived.

* Exactly, and this changes the perspective that some people have about slowing down in older age, and changing lifestyles dramatically. Yes, older people slow down but it is because they carry more energetic weight, dignity and wisdom. They do not need to race around rearing children and earning livings. Old age is a wonderful time of harvest in so many ways.

June: Yes, I would say that this is very clear, and if the readers have any questions they can forward them to me as a comment on the blog or to my email junecan@sbcglobal.net
It is quite rewarding to think about old age as a time of harvest. I like that metaphor.

* Use it well, and plan to reap as you sow.
